The Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival, or Uchinanchu Taikai, is a homecoming party for Okinawans all across the world and is held every 5 years. It promotes the value of connectedness, and helps the Okinawa diaspora reconnect with their cultural roots.

• Step back in time with a scenic visit to Shuri Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as the Former Japanese Naval Underground HQ
• Marvel in the natural beauty of marine life at Churaumi Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in the world and one of the few to house whale sharks
• Experience the festivities of the Okinawa Taikai, with a pre-festival parade, opening & closing ceremonies, and free time to explore the festival
